The Next Time Someone Asks To Pick Your Brain, Do This...
If you’re anything like me, you probably get asked tons of questions, and get lots of people wanting to pick your brain all the time. While it’s nice to be in demand, answering them all can really eat up your time, so we need to find a simple, leveraged way to serve our people.
Next time someone asks to pick your brain, do this instead…
Set up a form on your website where people can submit their questions. This isn’t just about convenience, it also doubles as a nifty way to capture new leads. Plus, it ensures you have a record of questions and queries so that none get overlooked!
Next, rather than replying to each person individually, leverage your time and reach by using those questions as ideas for your content creation. If one person wants to know the answer to something, then it’s pretty likely that others will find that information useful too.
Few of us are good at starting from a blank page, so responding to questions will also make it easier for you to create your next email or social media post and the easier it is, then more likely you are to do it, and keep doing it – growth will come from consistency.
Not only will you be streamlining your efforts and create awesome content, you can also repurpose your responses for the bigger picture. Maybe a question will inspire a lead magnet, digital product or masterclass for your membership, or perhaps a few lessons to add into an online course.
So, there you go, next time someone asks to pick your brain, direct them to your new form. Voilà, instant content ideas, plus your efforts go further, you’ll be saving yourself time and adding more value – what’s not to love?
